Overheard on Instant Messenger (iChat)

fyi: iChat is the prettier Apple brand version of AIM (AOL Instant Messenger)...

Over a discussion of being open sexually in a relationship...(I don't know why but I get asked about this subject a LOT)

Other guy: when did it happen the first time? How many months/years into the relationship?

Me: i think like maybe 5 or 6 months into the relatinship. it started as an online chat thing, then a webcam thing which was hilariously silly. then we met the guy. it was ok, kind of fun but not the best sex ever. we had fun and we left feeling very secure and good about ourselves with each other.

Other guy: good for you . . .I don't know if I can do that, i am too insicure . . .

Me: hey, everyone is different and every couple is different. I know some couples who are VERY open sexually and some who would never "publicly" entertain the thought of playing outside their relationship. there's no right or wrong, it's each couple's and individual's personal choice and comfort level.

Happy [You know What]

Another year gone by. It's amazing. Does time move faster as we get older? Where did 2006 go? I swear it was just Summer of 2005, wasn't it!? I can't be getting Alzheimers already.

As part of our tradition, RoboPapi puts together a robot nativity scene below our tinsel tree, complete with Robby, Daleks, B9, various clockwork bots, and the Jupiter2 for our nativity home. This is last year's scene since this year's isn't ready yet. We actually got an real tree this year, imagine that, organic! Ah it smells soooooo good. Nothin' beats the real thing.

2007 resolutions to come, or not. I actually hate resolutions.

When it's time for change...

...it's time to re-arrange...sha na na na na na...na na nah nah nah. (that's one of my favortie Brady Bunch episodes, when Peter looses his voice and they all wear those spacey outfits and sing on some TV variety show).

As Madonna has done throughout her career, so have I. I've gone thorugh changes every few years. Changing names, looks, facial hair styles, hair-on-my-head styles, etc.

Many do not know this now, but for 9 whole years (1991-1999) I legally changed my name. I was known by another name of which I do not speak of (Ok, here's a hint to the right)...No, I wasn't a drag queen (although I have done drag on numerous ocassions). The name change was my alter ego of my twenty-something period. But I reached a point where I was really over the new name and so I legally changed back to my birth name. I've never looked back.

So as I sit here, I contemplate changing the name of my blog. Well not really changing the name per se, but changing the language. I'm thinking I really love ROBOSITO. Robo meaning robot of course, and Osito apparently meaning Cub in some sector of the Spanish language. So what do y'all think?

Oh, but now I'm feeling homesick for Robocub already and I haven't even changed anything.

ME

Only a slight resemblence, minus the protruding "Big Lug" underbite.

I just hope that's a walk and not a dance step.
